East africa's best

The Masai Mara (also Maasai Mara) is a nature reserve in Kenya. It is part of the Serengeti and connects north directly to the Serengeti National Park (Tanzania) and has an area of approximately 1510 square kilometers. The area lies at an altitude of 1500 to 1650 meters above sea level, in the southeast of the same are two mountains of 2200 meters altitude. The annual precipitation, which is spread over two rainy seasons, is 800 meters in the east and 1200 millimeters in the west.

The name "Masai Mara" consists on the one hand of the name of the people living in this area tribe of the Maasai. The second name part "Mara" (from the language Maa) means "spotted" or "spotted". This designation is a reference to the appearance of the landscape: viewed from above, the many solitary trees in the savannah look like individual dots.

Aruba Mara Camp

The Aruba Mara Camp is a small bush camp under German management in the pioneer style with a few tents, unusual for the Masai Mara, where everything is geared towards mass tourism.
It is right on the Talek River, cozy, comfortable, beautiful and very original. Each tent has its own terrace overlooking the river.
The opposite side of the river is already the Masai Mara. Not infrequently, cats are watched while drinking.
In just 5 minutes drive you are at the park entrance, the Talek Gate.
The camp is in direct contact with the nearby Masai Village. The Masai and the camp have a very friendly relationship.

The German owner "Gerda Simon" called Gerdi, mostly cares herself for the well-being of the guests.

Entim Mara Camp

Top Location - Top Camp - Top Jeeps - our absolute insider tip

The Entim Mara Camp is our absolute favorite. It has a unique location - located in the middle of the Masai Mara - long access routes are a foreign word here. The game drives start already 30 seconds after the start. The Entim Camp is located directly on the Mara River directly at one of the three crossing points. Not infrequently that this natural spectacle can be experienced directly from the camp up close - absolutely unique.

The camp is the smallest, exclusive private camp in the entire Masai Mara. It fits perfectly with its only 10 tents to the claim of LadyM Safaris - safaris without mass tourism.

First-class tents, top cuisine, super new Jeeps, Wi-Fi throughout the camp and a great team complete the overall impression. We are really proud to be able to offer this camp.

Kilima Camp

The Kilima Camp in perfect location will fulfill your dream of an unforgettable safari holiday in Africa!
Kilima Camp is located on the western boundary of the Masai Mara Reserve. It was built in a private reserve adjacent to the famous Mara Triangle Game Reserve (three contiguous administrative districts that make up the Masai Mara National Reserve).

Kilima means "mountain or small hill" in the national language Swahili.

A fitting name, because the Kilima Camp is located on the edge of the Siria Steep Slope (also Oloololo called) at 1800m above sea level. From here you can see the wide plains of the Masai Mara and the Mara River.

Thus, the Kilima Camp thrills with its fantastic and phenomenal views, truly as if you are looking through the "window of God".
